There was a time when there were just fewer things in the world. The things that we made had more meaning. They were messages. They communicated in languages and symbols that are mysteries to us now. They held secrets.

 

Artifacts tell something about a culture, about the maker and the users.

 

Sometimes the culture is imaginary.
